Cakebread Cellars

Wine:

Atmosphere:

Service:

I looove Cakebread wines, but the service and the atmosphere here are lacking. I found it to be too crowded, and the staff wasn't the friendliest. I buy their wine in the store, but the crowd and the attitude at the winery aren't worth stopping for.

Mumm Napa

Wine:

Atmosphere:

Service:

Wow, to sit on the patio at Mumm on beautiful Napa day is out of this world! I do not go to Napa without stopping at Mumm. A visit to this place will surely cure anything that is wrong in your life. Order a flight of sparkling wine, then sit back and people watch. I have had nothing but great service from the staff. The only thing that is wrong is that you can't sit there all day.

St. Supery Vineyards & Winery

Wine:

Atmosphere:

Service:

I will always have a soft spot for St. Supery. This is the first winery that I ever went to. Ever since that first visit(where I learned that chocolate was made just for Cabernet), the staff has continued to be approachable and patient with questions. I think this is the perfect winery for a newbie to wine world, as well as a fun stop for everyone else. The wine is alright, but the people are what keep me coming back.

Domaine Carneros by Taittinger

Wine:

Atmosphere:

Service:

This is always a great last stop on your way out of wine country heading back towards San Francisco. The sparkling wine is good (not the best), but the view is to die for. This is where you go to take in the beautiful valley, snap a picture, then relax near the end of the day. A must see simply for the atmosphere.
