Mumm is beautiful.
The patio has some kinda of zen superpower. Really. You just feel better when you leave this place. Drenched in NorCal sunshine, offering some the best sparkling wine Napa has to offer, SERVED by friendly, knowledgeable staff, Mumm is easily a "don't miss" stop on anyone's wine tasting adventure.
I WOULD suggest ending here. It's great place to unwind and enjoy the late afternoon sun. They have a few different tasting options (and a tour) ranging in price from just under $20 to HOLY COW. The bonus- they offer a complimentary glass of non-alcoholic sparking Pinot for your DD. Beauty AND safety?! Yes please.
AND! They've got a Coupon. (Go to their site to print it out!)

When debating Napa, Sonoma, Healdsburg, etc for a day of wine tasting, there are a few places that go on the "pro" list for each area, every time. For me, Hop Kiln is FOR SURE a reason to go to Healdsburg.
Yes, the grounds are beautiful, the wine is good, the tasting is cheap, but the real reason to check it out... THE SNACKS! I stock up on mustard (the curry mustard is redic) and their famous hot sauce is always a crowd pleaser.
The picnic grounds are great for enjoying your lunch with a newly purchased bottle of wine.
I would say to skip this spot if there's a passport weekend going on. The giant tasting room is less than intimate and gets super loud and crowded.

Don't blow it.
Really. Just don't miss this one.
If you're within 45 square miles of Rutherford, CA and you DON'T go to Honig, you have made a major blunder, my friend. (And if you knew what you were missing, you'd be SUPER annoyed with yourself.)
Honig is my very favorite winery. My very favorite wine. And. My very favorite place in all of Napa Valley. (Yes, this includes the Rutherford Grill)
I usually prefer Sonoma because they've got great wine and better stories, while Napa acts like the pretentious older sibling offering wines that pair well with greenbacks.
But there's none of that attitude here. The staff is amazing. They're cool. Like, really normal people. Who make you feel special. Special like you're their favorite customer. EVER. And like they'll probably go look you up on facebook later, because your afternoon of hanging out and tasting wine was so fun that they want to be your friend.
I absolutely love their commitment to the environment, sustainable practices, their beehives, their family and their customers. (So your tongue can have a party and your head can feel happy about supporting a solid organization!)
Listen. You'll enjoy some of the best wine you've ever tasted, on a great patio, with great people for 10 bucks off your amazing bottle of Cab. (Okay, technically, the tasting fee is $10, but they apply it to your purchase of $50 or more... and if you leave without spending $50 or more, you've missed out.)
This is the kind of wine you mow lawns for. I mean. Whatever it takes to make a few extra bucks. Just get this stuff in your house.
Also, I'm not a dessert wine girl for the most part... but oh-my-goodness, theirs is what they drink in Heaven. Of this I am sure. It's apricots and honey and awesomeness and it WILL change your mind about dessert wines.
Make an appointment if you can. The Honig team is super accommodating, but for the best experience- let 'em know you're coming.
