B.R. Cohn is a great place just north of Sonoma. Bruce Cohn's journey from Doobie Brothers manager to winery owner is an interesting tale. The grounds are nice with plenty of olive trees. While the tasting room is not stunning, I really enjoyed their wines. I actually favored the sauvignon blanc and the silver label cab rather than some of the red blends. My favorite was the port (accompanied by some chocolate). However, the port is somewhat pricey but it is very high quality. Also, the gift shop is actually one of the nicer in Sonoma.

Listen to the Doobie Brothers and other classic rock music while sipping some interesting and creative blends. Bruce Cohn, the proprietor, has been the manager of the Doobie Brothers since 1970. The grounds of this winery are meticulously landscaped, which definitely adds to the overall experience. You can buy food on site and have a picnic under the trees. Most famous for their cabs, B.R. Cohn offers a little bit for everyone. I didn?t LOVE any of the wines I tried, but there are definitely a number that I enjoyed, particularly their signature port.

BR Cohn has some very strong value wines. I especially enjoyed their cab and their less expensive pinot. You can finish your tasting with chocolate and port which I think is a nice treat. The gift shop is a bit cluttered for my liking but the staff is very friendly. I'm sure that you'll have a nice tasting experience here.
