Nice grounds and a down to earth atmosphere. The ports are impressive and their still wines aren't bad, but pale to the power of the Port! I like the fact that they are very friendly and the port is worth stocking up on!

Prager is a little shack off Hwy 29 right when you hit St. Helena. They make some excellent ports. The tasting room is a single room with currency from all over the world plastered on the walls. The staff is nice and very down to earth. If you are lucky, you might even meet the man who started it all.
They make a variety of ports -- and all are delicious. It is a wonderful stop in the winter but often is hard to swallow when we visit in the very hot summer months. The staff will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about each vintage. It's always a fun time when we stop by Prager.
They include a Prager wine glass with your tasting.

I love Prager since they make great port right in Napa. The atmosphere is definitely quirky (dollars bills stapled all over the room, jokes from the servers, etc.) but the estate is beautiful. The wine will definitely satisfy your sweet quota between the port and tasty riesling. The riesling might be the best wine here. Give it a try but be prepared for a slightly non-standard tasting experience.
