Schug is definitely a place for those who appreciate Pinot. The tasting room is small and doesn't have any of the bells and whistles of other spots. So, don't expect to be awed when you walk in but you'll be impressed with the wines - especially if you appreciate a good pinot. I was surprised to learn that they also have a couple of great chardonnays. Combined with great service in the tasting room, you'll be happy that you stopped by.

This unassuming spot caters to the true wine enthusiasts. The tasting room is small and quaint, but what it lacks in character is more than made up for by the quality of the wine and service. Known for its Pinot Noirs, Schug has an incredibly wide selection of reds, roses, and sparkling wines. I really enjoyed the Pinot Carneros, but the Cabernet Sauvignon was also exceptional for the price point, as was the merlot. Greg managed the pours on our visit and provided great insights into the wine and made our stop off one of the day?s highlights.
